Felixstowe Users Golf Day £8500 to charity

GMA are very proud of their involvement with the Felixstowe Port Users Association annual charity golf day. First held in 2019 this annual competition is considered one of the most important dates in FPUA’s calendar and their biggest fundraising event in any given year.

Through GMAs sponsorship and the organisational skills of Mark Binge, vital funds raised in previous years have been donated to local charities, including Langer Primary Academy, Felixstowe School and the Diabetic Clinic based at Ipswich Hospital.

The 2022 Golf Day successfully raised over £8,850 for local causes and charities. Grateful beneficiaries include Sadie Ray, Causton Junior School, GeeWizz Charity, Felixstowe & Corinthians Cricket Club, Fresh Starts and Three Bears Community Playgroup.

The next Charity Golf Day will be held on Friday 26th May 2023 at the award-winning Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club.

Fare Share – Fighting hunger, tackling food waste

Fare Share believe that no good food should go to waste and aim to change lives by redistributing surplus food to charities that turn it into meals. Last year saw the FareShare East Anglia team divert 223 tonnes of surplus food to 71 charity members – enough to provide over 500,000 meals for people at risk of hunger.

With the East Anglia branch just a stones-throw from the GMA offices it has been a natural choice for the company to offer their support to this worthwhile cause.
